How do you feel about this? I think that it's stupid, if you're on a pro baseball team obviously you're good at it. If you want to get better, train harder. It's stupid to risk losing your entire career over trying to take the easy way out of getting better.

What is happening? The amount of the radioactive iodine-131 isotope has surged to 4,385 times above the regulatory limit.
What did happen? The contamination may be coming from a leak 
What are the consequences? Negative; impact impact on people's health
What is different about this? It's not normal to have these levels of radioactive elements
What are the choices? No choice really, the only choice is to try to fix it

When was this discovered? A couple weeks ago

Where did or will this happen? Japan

Why?
Why did this happen or will it happen? Magnitude 7.4 earthquake on April 7th

How did it or will it happen? The contamination is coming from a leak into seawater

How many people does this affect? worldwide
How do you feel about this? They need to try to fix this as soon as possible. I think nuclear power is stupid because it's so volatile and crap like this happens, and now there's radiation everywhere.

1. I thought that these pictures are all so beautiful! I love African animals, and the picture were all breathtaking.

2.I think that the one of the lioness sitting in the grass looking out into the plain is my favorite because it's SO simple, and just serene and lonely, but in a good way.

3. Look up the photographer –

a.   He uses medium black and white film without zoom lenses. Pentax 67II with only two fixed lenses.

 

b.     What is his reason for taking the photos? To capture the beauty and personality of these wild animals before they are extinct because of humans.

 

c.     What is his hope by taking these types of photos? That people will see the beauty of these animals and stop making them extinct so that they can continue to roam the earth.

 

d.    "Many pictures convey a rare sense of intimacy, as if Brandt knew the animals, had invited them to sit for his camera"

 

"What I am interested in is showing the animals simply in the state of Being. In the state of Being before they are no longer are"

1. What do you think about this project and photo essay?
    I think that it was a really cool, unique idea for a project that isn't cliche and a test of your photography skills of trying to make an awkward situation look like a portrait.

2. What would you do if someone approached you with a camera and asked you to participate in a photo shoot and then asked you to touch a stranger?
I would think it was kind of weird, but i'd probably do it. With a lot of laughing because it'd just be really awkward and funny haha:)


3. Think of an unusual photo shoot similar to this one that you think would be fun to go and shoot.
Going around town with a bunch of random props and having people pose with them


4. Finally, tell me what you thought of the photography, did the photographer think about the rules of photography that you know about? What types of photos did he take? 
He took formal portrait pictures and really used the placement of the people to his advantage, the lighting, the scene, and the depth of field.
