Visible Spectrum: The portion of the electromagnetic spectrum that can be detected by the human eye
Film Frame: One of the many single photographic images in a motion picture. The individual frames are separated by frame lines. Normally, 24 frames are needed for one second of film
Shutter: When pressed, the shutter of the camera is "released", so that it opens to capture a picture, and then closes, allowing an exposure time as determined by the shutter speed setting (which may be automatic)

Aperture: the opening in a photographic lens that admits the light, from the latin, apertura,which come from the word apertus, which is the past participle of aperire which means to open
Shutter: a mechanical device that limits the passage of light; especially : a camera component that allows light to enter by opening and closing an aperture
Exposure:
a. The act of exposing sensitized photographic film or plate.
b. A photographic plate or a piece of film so exposed.
c. The amount of radiant energy needed to expose a photographic film.
Depth of Field:In photography, the distance in front of and behind the subject that appears to be in focus
F-stop:The measurement of light able to pass through the photographic lens
Focal Length: The focal length of an optical system is a measure of how strongly the system converges or diverges light
